Formed in 2004, this East-Dorset-based singing ensemble enjoys nothing more than travelling around the beautiful Dorset countryside, singing in the delightful churches of Dorset and enjoying tea and cake afterwards!  We cover a varied range of singing styles from baroque and sacred pieces to complex folk arrangements, spirituals to fabulous arrangements of twentieth century songs; close harmony, a cappella or with piano accompaniment.

Canzonetta presents four concerts each year and our adventures thus far have taken us through East Dorset, the Isle  of Purbeck and even as far as Jersey. En route this not-for-profit organisation raises funds to support the local community. If you would like to learn more or you would like to join our e-mailing list, please get in touch using the Contact Us page. We  would love to hear from you and you can follow us on Facebook.

Our last concert...

We had a lovely time at St Nicholas Church, Studland on Sunday 7 May 2017 and thank you to all who came along. We had a full house!  The weather was kind to us and we had cream teas afterwards in the hall and outside in the glorious Purbeck sunshine.  We are delighted to tell you the afternoon made £1076  for Lewis-Manning Hospice.  Well done,  Studland Team!

Canzonetta News...

Sue Lansbury and Mary Sparks sang in their final concert with us at Studland Church in May and we send them our very best wishes.  We are delighted 2nd sopranos  Eve Baker, Barbara Rawlings and Alto Julie Newall have joined us this summer and we are very pleased to welcome them all to the team. With three new members we need another new photo (!) so fingers crossed for fine weather in July when our photographer friend joins us in Mary's garden. Update to that - the weather today is not looking hopeful. We've picked the one wet day in July!
