We were pleased to be invited to sing at the PramaCare 35th Anniversary Service in Wimborne Minster Church on Friday 19th May 2017 with the Bishop of Sherborne. We sang two pieces and enjoyed the fabulous refreshments afterwards in Church House. Well done PRAMA! Our lunchtime recital at Wimborne Minster Church on Monday 10th July was well received. Our guest soloist Emma Estridge (flute), accompanied by Darrell Harvey, played pieces by Bach, Handel and Schubert. The short summer season of recitals at The Minster raised over £1000 for the church. We made our annual appearance at Wimborne St. Giles Flower Festival and ended the year when we were invited to entertain at the Dorset Federation of WI Christmas lunch at Milton Abbey School. In 2017 Wimborne Voices entertained with 23 presentations and raised £710 for Parkinson's UK.

Canzonetta's sister group Wimborne Voices was established in 2009. Directed by Jackie March, we are an a cappella ensemble performing at lunch clubs, afternoon clubs, flower festivals, charity concerts, lunchtime recitals, weddings, Mothers Union, WI and events throughout East Dorset. We perform our own arrangements of songs spanning five centuries, from baroque to sacred and folk to twentieth century favourites. We also have a large song list for the Christmas season and we perform in the region of twenty gigs or so each year.
Wimborne Voices is a not-for-profit organisation. All fees and donations go to our chosen charity which, for 2017-18, is Parkinson's UK . If you would like more information please send us a message via the Contact Us page. We would love to hear from you... and we are on Facebook!
